Common questions about sleep, CBT-I, ACT, and how the program works.

Is this therapy?

My Sleep Expert is a science-based sleep support program using CBT-I principles, ACT-informed tools, personalized audios, and coaching support. Depending on the final clinical setup and jurisdiction, parts of the program may be educational, coaching-based, or therapy-informed. We will define the exact legal wording before launch.

What is CBT-I?

CBT-I means Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia. It is a structured approach that helps change the behaviors, thoughts, timing, and conditioned responses that maintain insomnia.

What is ACT and why do you use it?

ACT means Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. In sleep work, it can help with the struggle around insomnia: fighting thoughts, fearing the night, checking the body, trying to force calm, and organizing life around sleep anxiety. We use ACT-informed tools alongside CBT-I because some people do not only need better rules. They need a different relationship with the fear of not sleeping.

What if I already tried CBT-I and it did not work?

That does not mean you are hopeless. Sometimes CBT-I fails because the delivery is too rigid, too generic, too lonely, or not adapted to the person's life. We keep the evidence-based core, then add personalization, ACT-informed coaching, async support, and practical audios for the moments when people usually quit.

Will I get live sessions?

The core program is async. That means you can receive guidance, answer questions, and use the materials on your own schedule. We may add live sessions later or offer them for selected cases.

Do I need medication?

We do not prescribe medication. If medication is part of your current care, speak with your doctor before changing anything.

Can meditation alone fix insomnia?

Meditation can help, especially when it reduces arousal and gives the mind something safe to rest on. But chronic insomnia often needs more than relaxation. That is why we combine night audios with a structured CBT-I based plan.

What if I wake up at 3am?

We will teach you what to do in the moment and what to change during the day so the pattern becomes less likely over time. The goal is to stop turning early waking into a nightly emergency.

How fast will I sleep better?

Some people feel relief quickly because they finally understand what to do. Deeper sleep change usually comes from consistency over several weeks. We do not promise a fixed timeline for everyone.

Is this for anxiety?

Sleep and anxiety often feed each other. We can help with the sleep-related part of that loop, especially bedtime anxiety and fear of not sleeping. If anxiety is severe or broad, we may recommend working with a mental health professional too.

Is the free Sleep Expert Review really personalized?

Yes. Your assessment shapes the advice, the recommended exercise, and the two audios you receive. Different sleep patterns receive different guidance.
